Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Cloisonné Enamel & Gilt Bronze Bird Censer

A magnificent and exceptionally rare fine quality Qing Dynasty (1636-1912) Chinese cloisonné enameled gilt bronze censer.

Exceptionally executed figural bird form, modeled standing with head lifted and wings out to the side carrying two covered vases originally intended as incense burners. Outstanding coloring throughout, teal, turquoise, blue, green, white, gold enamel and gilded wire accents, standing on large intricately detailed gilt bronze feet, resting on a fitted hardwood footed pedestal base.

A superb museum quality example. In overall excellent original antique condition. Scattered areas of desirable verdigris patina and some accretions to areas of recess. Minor age appropriate wear. Evidence one finial has been reattached to one cover. Presents very well.
