Beech
1910s
Dimensions: H x W x D: 65 x 100 x 36 cm, seat height adjustable from H 47 – 59 cm
Description:
Bench standing on tapered square legs typical of the period. At the very bottom the legs widen in a teardrop shape, at the top they end with a finishing profile below the frame.
In the supports of the armrests there are toothed strips for locking the seats. The seats can be adjusted in cm increments from 47 cm to 59 cm seat height. It is impressive to see how solidly the iron technology is processed, with which the height adjustability is handled. The seats, formerly covered with wicker, have been reupholstered and covered with moiré fabric.
Rare to find piece of furniture with straight, Biedermeier lines and stylistic perspectives to Art Deco.
