A Charming Arts & Crafts Oak, Wrought Iron & Leather Stool with a wonderful provenance belong to one of the worlds most famous and successful spy novel authors. Possibly from the Jugendstil School in its design and style. The contrasting navy blue and red rectangular leather top with stud detail standing on carved and painted oak supports. The leg supports being a particular feature, almost carved to replicate the human form with lovely polychrome paint. The whole joined by a smart wrought iron frame. Ideal as a sitting or foot stool but could also be used as a small side table for placing books or papers on.
