Vintage Design
This iconic and rare Viennese Midcentury Modern Sonett chair has been designed by the Austrian Midcentury Modern Architect Thomas Lauterbach and manufactured by Karl Fostel Sen.’s Erben, Vienna Austria, circa 1950. It is made of white lacquered irin and wire and has been restored some yearrs ago so it is in very nice condition and ready for use. This chair is great to be used indoor and outdoor as Garden Chair aswell. After the second world war, the tubular steel furniture factory Karl Fostel Sen.’s Erben, founded in 1890, specialized in modern outdoor furniture made of steel and light metal. Based on the tradition of metal furniture, the company developed the series Sonett as a product line for modern garden furniture.
