This modest size, but highly stylish Arts & Crafts clock with its marvelous patina is the perfect time teller for displaying on your desk, mantel or sidetable. The combination of the wonderful nutwood and pine casing, the geometric and beveled glass windows in the front and the truly wonderful Arts and Crafts dial face is an absolute joy to look at. This is one of the most stylish and best condition antique Arts and Crafts table clocks that we ever had the pleasure of finding and offering and for it to come with such a perfect running clock mechanism (from a top maker) more than made our day. In case you did not know, the name ‘Haas’ in German means ‘hare’. Hence the hare marking on the back of the perfect brass clock mechanism and also the even more rare, hare and PHS (for Phillipp Haas & Söhne) monogram bearing paper label on the bottom (see images 13 through 16). These dual markings also prove that the clock mechanism and clock casing have always been together. Thanks to the blackened dial hands, telling time is easy from a little further away as well. This rare and all handcrafted antique clock comes with a perfect working, 7-day mechanism with the original key beautifully placed against the inside of the back door via a small brass key bracket. And because this clock was made without a striking mechanism (so with only one hole for winding the clock mechanism in the front) it also is nice and quiet. Surrounding yourself with antique works of beauty like this will make your living space (and life) more unique and enjoyable.
If you like the look and feel of this rare European Arts & Crafts clock as much as we do then you will love our price. Especially when taking into account that perfect packing and worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days are complimentary.
