Thanks to its good size and superb condition this two-light alabaster chandelier will light up both your days and evenings. It is all hand-crafted in the Arts and Crafts era and the artisan who picked the alabaster rock to carve this shade out off, clearly picked the perfect rock, because it is beautifully white and it comes with striking black veins and a variety of more translucent veins and patches as well. These veins and patches have formed in this mineral stone over a period of thousands of years and especially when the light is switched they come out in their true beauty. What takes this stunning and serene flush mount to a level of its own, is the perfectly hand-carved and thick floral design. It clearly took a highly skilled craftsman a lot of time and dedication to first design and then perfectly hand-carve this remarkable light. For it to still be in this amazing condition after 100+ years is like an ode to his craftsmanship. Although the unscratched condition of the perfectly polished surface is what we have former owners to thank for, because you rarely find antique alabaster shades this good. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this antique brass and alabaster light fixture. In real life (or in person) our antiques always have that little bit extra and this stunning pendant is no exception. Both with the light on and off its timeless beauty will never go unnoticed. We did a few hairline reinforcements on the inside of the stunning shade, but they are invisible on the outside. Thanks to the metal hook inside the mint and height adjustable alabaster canopy, safely mounting this striking light tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) should take no more than five minutes either. This unique pendant also is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will take two of your regular 100 watt screwthread bulbs, easily. Because the two sockets and bulbs are perfectly placed inside the shade they will remain out of sight, no matter from what distance you look at this light. This timeless pendant will look great in all kinds of interiors and in all kinds of rooms and we think one of our interior designer clients will have no problem finding the perfect place for this antique light.
With perfect packing (in a custom made box) and worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days included in our price this fine alabaster pendant / flush mount certainly is great value for money.
