Vintage Design
Buffet two bodies from the Rennes region, in cherry honey.
It consists by definition of two elements – the first being narrower than the second – dissociable from each other by a simple recall screw system.
The upper part, in a gendarme hat, is topped with a slightly double cornice. It opens with two glass doors, with barrels, locking by a vintage lock with its key. They discover three chestnut shelves, placed on racks and therefore adjustable at will on a total storage height of 125 cm.
The lower part offers three -drawers with a depth of 11 cm. That of the center, with a lock entrance and its lock in operation, is also less wide than the other two, which are provided with draw handles on plates cut in brass. Below, two full doors with panels with symmetrical vein reveal a space of 50 cm high garnished with a shelf, also adjustable.
The sides of the furniture are also made up of withdrawal panels.
The whole rests on a slightly out of length base and modestly singing on the front.
The rear and the drawers are made of chestnut.
We can imagine the upper part of this piece of furniture being used as a library or dresser, while the lower one will keep a strictly speaking buffet function.
We will appreciate the narrowness of this two sleek bodies, which gives it a relative hutricability while maintaining an interesting storage capacity.
