Antique Irish Kilkenny Columned Fireplace Mantel in Marble, 1810

An unusual, rare and early 19th century Irish fireplace in black Kilkenny Marble. The fully disengaged columned jambs with balustrade end blocks, and double moulded panels behind. The frieze with a cushion centre plaque flanked by fielded panels. All beneath a generous plain mantel. A fine example of an Irish period fireplace. Opening size Measures: 47″ wide x 44″ high.
