In the earliest years of the 1900s a lady artisan working out of New York created these now very rare Americana. Little else is known about this artist and her work which made us even happier to have found this rare pair. As so often is the case, we don’t know how they made their way to the Netherlands, but we are happy they came our way, also, because that will increase their chances of going home again soon. These rare and culturally historical American Native bookends are in very good condition and ready to be used and enjoyed. All we could find out about them is that they are made of golden-bronze plated metal and that they are known as ‘ambush’ bookends. These Arts and Crafts era, works of sculptural art bookends will make great decorative bookends on a desk, in a bookcase or in your display cabinet if you collect rare and stylish bookends with a cultural historical history to them.
In our view these too are great value for money. Also, because our fair price includes perfect packing and also worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days.
