Maison Krieger was created in 1826 by Antoine Krieger and his brother Nicolas in Paris. It first developed as a furniture manufacturer, before adding a very important decoration service. In the 1920s and 1930s, a thousand people worked in the gigantic workshops of the Faubourg Saint-Antoine. Krieger initially distinguished herself in luxury production by copying 18th century furniture, Empire furniture and creating very original works, notably for Exhibitions, where she won a 2nd class medal in London in 1852.
