A extraordinary and meticulously fashioned Japanese display cabinet. The style on the cusp of Art Nouveau/ Arts and Crafts with curvilinear rosewood supports at the top tiers. The supports with chased foliate decorated copper bands. The tiers with elaborate beautiful mixed woods in pieced inlays with a variety of geometric motifs and stars, along with herringbone inlaid edges on the front. Carved and shaped openwork back and side bands for the tiers. The middle with two open sections and one short drawer over a shaped inlaid frieze and shaped and flat shelves. The lower cabinet with three short drawers on the left and two drawers with an open section on the right. The recessed side panels with coordinating inlays. With turnip form finials on top and ball feet.

Condition: Please see all detail photos. There are some expected stains and scratches on the shelves, stains on open sections, the shaped shelf with crack and veneer losses on the right molding, middle tier short drawer does not close flush, a few chips to the herringbone edges, some scrapes to the feet and missing sliding doors on the bottom open space. Despite the slight losses, the Cabinet displays in an exceptional and stately manner.
