Fantastic French Art Nouveau patisserie or pastry table featuring a weathered, smooth Carrara marble top. The late 19th century/early 20th century table is hand-crafted with a trestle style base. The decorative legs have acanthus scroll detail centered by a “Bacchus” face on each end. The legs are conjoined by a group of stretchers with gracefully curved supports. Beautifully crafted with influences of Belle Epoque. Heavily patinated finish with old paint remnants in white and french blue still visible adding to its je ne se quoi. Very heavy and solid with a smooth worn patina on the marble finish.
