A very rare and stunning Arts & Crafts studio pottery vase of twisted floral shape made in London by Horace Elliott (British, 1851-1938) dating from the early 20th century. Horace Elliott has been referred to as ‘London’s Forgotten Potter’ however was a well-known Arts & Crafts potter and was also responsible for a large number of the sought after designs made at the Welsh based Ewenny Pottery near Bridgend. This rare and unusual vase is very modern in its design with a twisted body and flower shaped top. The lightly potted vase is hand decorated in blue glazes applied on a grey ground. The base has impressed marks ELLIOTT LONDON along with his customary fleur-de-lis mark.
