The armchair was designed by Josef Maria Olbrich (1867-1908) and manufactured by Thonet. Josef Maria Olbrich was a student of Otto Wagnerand about in the year 1897 the co-founder and builder of the Viennese Secession. This armchair is made of solid red-brown color stained beech. Its seat has been reupholstered and a beautiful striped velvet with a green base has been chosen instead of the old fabric.
