1970’s Good Sized Mid Century Cabinet – Up Zavody. Superb practical piece of Mid-Century storage by the Czech maker Up Zavody and designed by Frantisek Mezulanik. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the Bauhaus school. The inside of the cabinet features well spaced fixed shelves with two small drawers (internal dimensions 36Lx4Hx30W). The main cabinet is made from well figured birch with a contrasting sapele interior. The shelves are 41L and 74W with the top shelf height 17cm and a higher 20cm for the bottom shelf. The whole cabinet is beautifully made sitting on an ebonised birch base. Our workshop has gently restored the cabinet so all drawers and doors run well and the cabinet is in exceptional original condition.
