Mid-Century Desk attributed to H. P. Hansen

Very generous Danish design agency of heavy quality. In the typical Danish design language, this desk is carried out, beautiful curves, beautiful handles, fine colors and a solid construction with beautiful connections. The beautifully rounded and leaf shows some traces on top (discoloration), since the desk was a work furniture par excellence. As far as we are concerned, it does very little to the charm of this masterpiece and gives it just a little more character. Equipped with 3 large drawers and a cupboard space with door, so there is enough space for all your things, also take a look at the beautiful legs that run along the entire side and enclose the desk.

The rear is also beautifully finished with, among other things, the same refined details and 2 spaces for books or a beautiful showpiece. The fact that this concerns a management/directors execution states as this special double -sided finish, after all, the management regularly received guests and/or employees at the office, the agency was so viewed from all sides, a piece of furniture with prestige. The first owner was so economical that there has been a “protection” on the top for more than 50 years, it is precisely that caution now has led to a slight discoloration, see the photos. with respect for the materials and appearance, the whole is completely checked and, where necessary, restored in our own studio. with desk “Brünbuttel” you get one of the most beautiful finished desks in the house, that is again (home) working in style!
