*The Fenton Art Glass Company was founded in 1905 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. The company started out by painting glass blanks from other glass makers, but soon began to make their own glass when they became unable to buy the materials they needed. In 1906, the company moved across the Ohio River to Williamstown, West Virginia, and built a new factory. The first year for glass production was 1907. Fenton Art Glass is known for its wide variety of colors and patterns. The company has produced a wide range of glassware, including vases, bowls, figurines, and lamps. Fenton glass is popular with collectors and is often used in home décor.
