Black piano stool from the traditional company Gebrüder Thonet, Vienna from the beginning of the 20th century.
Discover the charm and elegance of this antique Thonet piano stool made of bentwood. With its iconic design and robust workmanship, this swivel stool is not only a functional piece of furniture, but also a stylish statement in any room. The stool is characterized by its exquisite craftsmanship and the use of high-quality bentwood, which gives it unparalleled durability and stability. Ideal for pianists and lovers of classical furnishings, this Thonet piano stool combines tradition and aesthetics in a unique way. Perfect for use as a piano, dressing or work stool.
Restored piano stool / swivel stool from Gebrüder Thonet. The piano stool is made of black lacquered beech wood and has four steam-bent feet with bentwood rings for stability. The stool can be adjusted in height from 49 cm to approx. 63 cm. The spindle has very little play. The seat is made of bent plywood, the remaining parts are made of solid beech wood or metal. The surfaces were renewed using traditional shellac hand polish – see pictures. The stool has the original Thonet stamp (a little difficult to read – see detailed photo). Based on my knowledge of these stools, I would date the year of manufacture to around 1920. The stool is in good overall condition.
