Baccarat Elbeuf service was first introduced in 1908 and presented at the International Exhibition in Nancy, France in 1909. Specially ordered in 1920 by the Maharaja of Baroda. This set of 6 signed Baccarat glasses are hand blown clear crystal and cut with elegant lines, brilliantly refracting light like a rainbow and they ring like a bell. The exquisite cutting on the bowls suggest diamonds, jewels and palmettes that evoke a flower when seen from above in keeping with the Art Nouveau style of the time.
