This vintage carpet, made by the queen of Swedish textile design, Märta Måås-Fjetterström, is anything an aficionado of Scandinavian weaving art could wish for. Its complex yet simplistic design consisting of a four rows of serrated diamond-like shapes, is a reference to traditional patterns found in Swedish homes. Måås-Fjetterström skillfully modified the classical solution, creating a composition with a surprisingly modern look, suiting up-to-date interior design trends. Titled Gront Pa linne (Green on linen), the carpet was created using a tapestry weave, meant to be hanged on the wall, not cover the floor.
