Painted solid birch bench designed by Finnish-American architect Eliel Saarinen for Cranbrook Academy of Art and reissued by Adelta Oy circa 1980s in Finland. Pierced framework with geometric pattern in gold leaf and upholstered in original fabric designed by Josef Hoffman. Bench is tagged on the underside with signature plate and numbered 286.
