The lidded ice bucket that sits in a decorative caddy tilts as intended in order to pour champagne or wine.
The centre hole opening on the lid is slightly misshaped however it would not stop the placement of any bottle top.
There is some wear to the silver in some places as can be seen on the decorative swirls on the side of the caddy but it is not especially evident nor does it detract from the beauty of this exceptional piece.
It is stamped on the bottom with the makers’ hallmarks that indicate it was made post 1935.
This silver plated French champagne cooler measures: 12″ to top of lid opening by 7.5″ diameter at base. The total width from handle edge to edge of base is 8.5″
