Pedestal in Chestnut – 1920s

Authentic regional hot chestnut with massive chestnut with a carved peasant -shaped column.
This property is topped with a square plateau, scrutinized around and embellished with acorns.
The barrel is meticulously opened and represents a smiling Vendée at the haughty port, dressed in a rustic dress and wearing hooves. She holds a sickle in her hands. The young woman wears the saddle on her head, her hair retained by a traditional cap.
The whole rests on a cylindrical part followed by a square, molded and tapered base, carried by four small “pancake” feet.

This charming saddle, will delight you with its sculptures, its deep shade and its bucolic charm.
