Vintage Design
Set of 3 early Pirkka chairs designed by llmari Tapiovaara for Laukaan Puu, Finland in 1955. The seat and back of these chairs are made of solid pine wood and the legs are made of black lacquered birch wood. The Pirkka’s are marked with a brand Laukaan Puu, made in Finland, Tapiovaara, design (see photos). The condition is still good with normal traces of use and wear (see photos). They have been checked and repaired where necessary. Dimensions: h x w x d = 75 x 39 x 41 cm and the seat height is 41 cm. This is the first version by Laukaan Puu from around 1955. Later production was taken over by Asko and then Artek. Set of three.
