Moveable bar by Vittorio Dassi from the 50s. In maple and mahogany wood, doors with inlaid decorations, with two drawers and thick crystal shelves both outside and inside. Rear legs and drawers in dark colour, bridge structure, brass tips. In good condition. The furniture of Vittorio Dassi (1893-1973), made in the 40s and 50s, are distinguished by the choice of fine woods such as rosewood, cherry, ash and walnut, often decorated with inlaid panels and crystals signed by great glass masters. Elegant in design without losing the functional quality, its furnishings are similar to the refined style of Gio Ponti, to which Vittorio was linked by important collaborations after taking over his father in the Dassi Mobili Moderni company in Lissone. Among the most important projects of the factory there is in fact the realisation of the furniture of the rooms of the Hotel Royal in Naples, designed by Ponti in the mid-50s, a period that marks the turning point of Dassi towards more schematic shapes and teak wood for the production of modular furniture.
